About

My name is David J. San Miguel and I've studied graphic arts, digital media, animation, augmented reality, virtual reality, and design. I work a lot with the Adobe Creative Cloud programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Lightroom. I'm also proficient in Blender, Procreate, Mental Canvas, Stable Diffusion, and Gravity Sketch. I use both Mac and Windows systems.
In my most recent roles I worked on 2023-2024 designs for sports trading cards for retail and hobby enthusiasts. I do freelance work for multiple organizations from previous employers to youtubers and small businesses. My work includes logo designs, album art, video edits, 3D and 2D animation.
In my previous experience I was a member of the FlorAla campus publication at the University of North Alabama, I worked with their social media, page layout, graphic design and edited the newspaper. I also was the Digital Media Club president at the University of North Alabama, I have led teams on successful projects and presentations on timely schedule.
I have led a team of animators working on livestreams and interacting with live chat. We create animated backgrounds and animations to be looped and timed with live musicians performing in Los Angeles with KanvasLive on Twitch / YouTube.
I have always had a passion for animations and illustrations, my mind used to race with all types of adventures after every animated film I saw, I knew that one day I would work on a film one day. While I attended college I began pushing the boundaries and my limitations to achieve my goals. I had the best art faculty staff ushering me to continue my pursuits and they taught me so much about what I could achieve. I worked on a mobile game, clay animation, computer animation and I even worked with teams across the states.
My goal is to make my own stories and inspire more creativity with my work.
